WIRREANDA P.S. is currently running a program called Active After-School Activities on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 3.30 and 4.30.

Teachers from the school supervise this program with Carl Leonard and Corinne Hastie finding ways to get children moving and active.

Training and resources are provided during the program, which offers participants a mix of sporting activities and fun games.

One of the popular games is dodge ball.

The main objective of the Active After-School program is to help children keep fit. About 40 children attend the sessions. It is especially popular with children who feel they need a bit more exercise and fitness.

The group is assisted by Dr Leonard and Miss Hastie, who give up their time to support the program and show children how to have a healthier lifestyle.

The children at Wirreanda P.S. give the Active After-School Activities program a big thumbs up.
