WE'VE heard all about Jamie Oliver teaching the kiddies to be healthy. Now two Aussie TV stars will pick up where he left off with a visit to Newcastle.
Popular kids' TV show Active Kidz will tour NSW in the July school holidays with its show Lets Party! to be staged at Newcastle Panthers on July 8. The ABC show's Scott Ehler, who co-hosts with Amy Wilkins, (pictured) has learnt first-hand the importance of keeping kids healthy."I got involved with fitness because I was an obese child, and when I started to exercise and lose weight I realised just how good it made me feel," he said. The duo teach children about the importance of healthy lifestyles in a fun and funky way. "The best thing about Active Kidz is the response you get from the children," Wilkins said. "Instead of exercise being a chore, it becomes a lot of fun."The show will play 11 venues finishing at Mingara Recreational Club on the Central Coast on July 17.
